We have installed new systems on over 26 schools in the North West and have seen more and more schools opting for perimeter security. Having automatic gates controlling the car park areas help prevent un-authorised persons on site and getting into contact with staff and pupils alike. Car park barriers are also a good way or controlling vehicle movements, un-fortunately they stop people from walking onto site.
Another solution is to control pedestrian routes onto site, this can be done by installing a gate which has an electric lock and self closer. We can fit a wide range of access control, the most popular is to have a video intercom system with proximity reader. This means that all visitors have to be controlled into site by reception, where as regular staff have a valid card or fob.
To increase the level of security we can also install IP cameras on the gates, or on the building pointing at them. Being IP means you can view them on a traditional monitor or via a smartphone or laptop.
Please get in touch for a free site survey, you may have some existing gates that require some attention if so give us a call.
